Since I was young my mission has been to help those around me. This interest led me to become a nurse and continue to help those around me and deal with obstacles that prevented someone from feeling better mentally or physically. Later on I completed my Masters in Nursing which is when I became a family nurse practitioner (FNP). Going through FNP rotations I realized how strong a need there was for mental health care which led me to complete this education along with an intensive year long psychiatric residency program including rotations in pediatric outpatient, general adult outpatient, inpatient consult, inpatient psychiatric care, vulnerable populations, geriatric outpatient care and other specialty areas including transplant patients, transgender, and university / college student mental health.

My experience was not only professional but also personal. During my young adulthood age I saw and experienced what it meant to have a family member with severe mental illness. Having this understanding gives me a deeper understanding of the challenges that may present with clients or family members.

As a dual board certified nurse practitioner in both family practice and mental health, I feel I'm best prepared in working with clients in a holistic and well rounded manner.

My approach is to listen and involve you in the decisions of your care and needs. My goal is to help you improve your self and have a better quality life by embracing your health!
